In this post I will not be talking about what’s going on in the world, I initially was not going to write about it at all, but I do have a couple of things to get off my chest about it, so keep a look out on that post.
This post will be about what I have been doing since I officially got into quarantine. I began quarantine on April 4th. Between March 31st and April 3rd, I was getting everything set up for working at home. At first I was having some technical issues so for almost a whole week I could not work, so that really messed up my paycheck. I had to to order two Ethernet cords and began to actually work this Monday.
I wouldn’t say I’m a workaholic but I am very dedicated in the work that I do, some may not care on how they speak to customers or their overall performance, but for me I like to get recognition so I would work very hard. Getting the recognition will boost my self-esteem so it’s not just about the job, it’s mainly for me also. If I end up getting a raise or promotion, that’s a plus! That whole week I was kind of upset that I couldn’t work I was just thinking of what my supervisor was thinking while I kept calling out. So you know I was ecstatic when I was able to get back working.
I am now working on learning new things, cooking and baking.
I cook a lot of pasta but since quarantine I made different meals like a pork chop dinner, creamy shrimp soup, boiled dumpling and curry shrimp and rice. I was never confident in my cooking, but I learned to trust myself. I also baked a box cake. Yes I know it’s a box cake, who can’t bake that? But my main problem with box cakes is that it hardens very quickly and its loses its moisture. I added some ingredients and it came out delicious, I even accidentally made a cake glaze!
I do plan on baking and cooking more food, so if you have any recipes you think I should try, comment down below or just email me, email@example.com. I’m open to every type of recipe from all over the world.
Before this pandemic happened, I’ve always stayed at home, but I usually go out at sometimes, I don’t know. Just a couple of summers ago, my aunt would have to force me out the house, so I don’t know why these 3 weeks has been so hard for me, it hasn’t even been a month yet! I regret not going to the beach before quarantine. After everything blows over I want to live my life, I would like to go out to parties with friends, have sleepovers, go to South Beach. I will never take my life for granted ever again. My New Years resolution is to stop being a home body.
I began working out, but I got too lazy, like I always do when I try to get fit. My goal is to gain some muscle in my legs, arms and glutes. What I would need is a workout partner who is very motivated who will motivate me. Even if we have to workout together through Face time or Zoom. I am also open to any exercises that will help me gain in those areas, comment or email if you’d like.
